Old World Charm

For centuries, American chestnut was prized for its strong, straight-grained wood that was easy to saw and split. Sadly, in the early to mid-1900s, this once vital hardwood-timber tree was virtually destroyed in the United States by a bark fungus.

We have travelled far and wide to find wormy chestnut to be transformed into flooring. Old World Charm is milled from old barn boards and barn timbers. The history of American chestnut lends itself to the beauty of this flooring.

Wormy Chestnut has a wonderful color variation and flooring planks will range in color from a golden honey brown to some darker brown colors.
